Oh my. Just saw this. It SO reminds me of my Daddy. He loved to fly, and had a simulator like this on his computer. I miss you Daddy so much.
In honor of those who serve and served our country with valor, many sacrificing their very lives for us. God bless America and may we bless God.

A very good movie that I love to watch this time of year is 'The Best Years of Our Lives' (1946)
It has been said that this movie is the closest hitting movie to how our vets felt and what they went through after WWII. Just the music score is beautiful.
May we remember those who gave their all for us. Please stay close to the Lord and may we lift our country up in prayer.

What a touching commercial Xfinity did. Very well done and I hope more companies honor our veterans.
Love “Best Years of our Lives” too. Such a good movie!
I just love that commercial - it always warms my heart when I see it. Wouldn't that be a treat for those men?
So many to be remembered for the ultimate sacrifice.
Have a lovely weekend.
This is AWESOME, Amelia. Thank you! And... Amen! --Elise
It seems the battle continues. God help us and God bless those who serve.
Hello Anonymous, Yes, I made sure to give them a good like and many shares too. It just goes to show how so many things can be used for good.
Yes, isn't that movie greatness? ...Just the music...Oh my heart, just so period of the 40s and just knowing the sailor missing his arm in one of the star parts...It was for real. His bride-to-be is the essence of a very sweet girl, many women could learn from that precious girl. And the wedding...So beautiful in all simplicity.
Have a sweet evening and weekend. Blessings!
Yes, Cheryl, would that not be so wonderful if those men received those? I know my daddy loved his flight simulator on his pc, it made him so happy. There is another video on the making of "The Aviators"..It's nice, it shows each one and their history in the war. Very neat.
Yes, may we all remember what Memorial Day is all about. Amen.
You have a wonderful weekend as well, and may God be with us all.
Yes, Sandi. Isn't it something...What goes on. I remember being in junior high and praying for the Vietnam war to end and that would be the last of it. smh I also remember the missile crisis as a very little girl and our class drill to go under our desks, those piercing reminders on Sunday morning television and our fire department every afternoon running the drill with the sirenes..Still gets to me when I hear something like that.
God bless those who serve to protect us and have given their lives for us.
Hello Elise, Thank you! Thank you! I appreciate all of your encouragement so very much. When I saw the video this morning, I was so touched. There is a companion video as to the making of "The Aviator"too.
God bless and be with us all.
Thank you so much for sharing this. It was heartwarming. I called my favorite veteran, my step-dad. He served in Vietnam.
God bless you!
I don't think we ever stop missing our parents.
Laura of Harvest Lane Cottage
Hi Laura, Oh my heart. I'm so glad you were able to call your step-dad. I adored my step-dad, he too was a veteran of WWI and II if I am correct. What a love he was and is, up there with the Lord. Yes, we never stop missing our parents. It can be painful sometimes but I know God makes butterflies and tiffany lamps out of our pain. : ) We can shine the Light of the Lord to others.
Blessings to you, Laura!
