Gratefulness, Noticings...Brings True Fullness of Life

Oh to always remember to push the ship's button closing the compartments behind me, and perhaps those I worry about in front of me...And to enjoy the compartment I am in!  It's the moment. God's moments.  To live in the now in fullness, noticing and thanking God for His secret treasures and Gifts.

Meet my friend!  Marianna and I were at smalltown drive-in  to get a big iced tea after a big grocery shopping trip...We usually pull up in the back facing this pasture to see my horse and goat friends..  I don't own a horse, so I pretend he is mine.  I think I may name him Clifford or Winston?  Isn't he the sweetest thing?   He has two goat friends, Freddy and Goat-Goat. He let me pet his velvet nose.  So fun.

Thanksgiving Eve...Things quiet down and I look up to see our youngest, Rebecca doing her math finals homework for college at the formal table, a beautiful glow was surrounding her...What must the sky be like behind that window?

This is the sky outside that window...God's Handiwork.
The chairs at my dining table are very ornate, they look as if they were hand carved, very pretty I think.  I wound up with them when one of Jem's clients, a doctor's wife sold them to us, she just didn't want the set anymore so I was so blessed to have the entire set for the price of a chair.  Sometimes I look at the chairs and I wonder why anyone would tire of them?  Even if Jem makes a farmhouse table I am going to try to tie the chairs in somehow perhaps with a country fabric for the seats...

The morning after Thanksgiving....

Our screened porch, done by Jem, my sweet son in law helped with that ceiling.  For Thanksgiving it was decorated by Marianna with natural things from outside.  The feel of the screened porch area is that from an old home from the 30s 40s or 50s?  The screened door has a good slam to it as well....*love*
Michelle made this adorable leaf garland for us to decorate with and Mar put white lights on it to add a little night music so to speak...

The mornings can turn cozy as the weather changes...
A few of our sweet fur angels...
Charlie the rescue dog.  Rebecca used her birthday money when she was a little girl to rescue him one year...Tears had rolled down her face as she said...  I love him

This is our newest little rescue creature.  He is such a little boy, we could have called him Cowboy or perhaps Mr. Blue Eyes but I think the girls decided on Elbie (L.B. for Little Bit).   Marianna rescued him as a tiny, tiny kitten one day very confused walking down a busy road, he had huge slashes on his little back, it looked as if a hawk had tried to carry this  baby off...We fed him with a tiny bottle, and I know he wondered where his mommy was.. Actually, Gracie the large rescue hound dog became his mommy...It is something to see I tell you.

And Gracie?  I see she is here in this photo in the left corner sleeping!  It's hard work being a mommy!
Mo-Mo...She is a  beauty and the sweetest, sweetest thing ever....She never claws or plays rough.  I think she is an i.n.f.p. personality too....

This is today here at the Forest Cathedral....A blustery day, beautiful leaves falling like a snowglobe... Dreamie, dreamie, dreamie...

Lots of memories of when I was a little girl on those dreamie mornings in our old home....

I must go now...Lots to do on Monday-Monday....

I have a red bean chili in the crockpot and I will make brown rice to go with it later.  If we have avocados I will slice some, perhaps some cilantro too...

Cozy is the word.  Thanking God for the Blessings.

Good Afternoon loves.       Have a sweet day.     -Amelia in the Forest

Such a delightful post and pictures! Your love for animals never ceases to amaze me. I began reading your blog a few years ago when your dear little duck had died. You have fascinated me since then.

And you have a pet horse on the other side of the fence at the fast-food place! How clever is that?!!!

Your screened-in porch -- what a delight that must be!!!

Thanks for the glimpse into your world today! Hugs!

Thanks for coming by Barbara! Aww....I am so glad you enjoy our fur angel adventures...We truly love them as I know you do too. : )

Yes, that horse is a buddy of mine, ol' Clifford. ; ) When Mar and I pull up and I don't see him or the goats I worry, and say; Where is my horse and my goats? I must see them before we return to the Forest! : )

We are really using that porch these days, Jem even watches t.v. out there at night after supper many times, next to the moonglow. It's neat.

So glad you stopped by! A hug to you too! Blessings!
