VERY GOOD SERMON FOR THE DAYS WE ARE IN. Highly Recommend!

This morning we listened to this sermon in the car, it's excellent!

If we don’t have a plan to escape the paganism in our culture, we will be swept into it. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson offers insight on how to strengthen our faith in a world that celebrates ungodliness and corruption.

This contains an image of: L'Innocence – Bouguereau

Innocence by William Adolphe Bueguereau    There is such quiet strength and Peace in this painting.  Will we be like this?  Are we like this?  There is a quiet strength and power in a godly life...

St. Joan of ArcWill we be a Joan of Arc in today's society?

It's been a busy week...Two dogs with snake bites let's just say.  Our large hound actually had two of them at one time.  Eh hem.

I hope all is well and please know the Lord is Faithful.

For those of us who are more intuitive and feeling, things can really get to us at times...Let's channel (cast our cares upon Him who cares for us) those deep feelings and realizations to the Lord, our Father.  I don't know what I would do without talking to the Lord.  We can talk to Him like a child to a good and kind Father.

Psalms 91

Hi Amelia! I haven't been in blog land much lately. Between babysitting my granddaughter 3 days a week and working on a genealogy project, I just haven't had time. In fact, I actually deleted my blog. I'm really limiting my time online, so I'm not going to be writing anymore. I pared down my reading list to about 4 blogs, yours being one of them. When I was "unfollowing," I was a bit too hasty in my actions, and I accidentally unfollowed yours. As soon as I hit "unfollow," I was like, "No, that's Amelia's blog!" So, I refollowed today.

This is a really great sermon. I listened to it, and then I promptly went and found other episodes on Spotify. Such a bold, dynamic preacher!

I'm sorry about your dogs and snake bites. I hope this will be okay. I absolutely hate snakes....all kinds, even non-poisonous ones.

In looking at this post, I saw your next post is about "Penny Serenade.' Oh, how I love that movie. It's one of my top five of the entire 1940's and my absolute favorite Cary Grant film.

Take care, my friend.

Love,
Patti

Patti, you do sound very busy! I am honored and so blessed, to know you are following my blog. You have touched my heart dear friend. I was thinking of you when I posted 'Penny Serenade'...That movie...Oh my heart! I knew you had probably seen that one too and equally adored and loved it.

You are very wise to limit your online time, I'm trying to do the same. I have my laptop parked on my guest dining table and it stays there like a little office. At night unless there is a reason, I am with my husband as we watch an old b/w movie usually, so refreshing and restful. Even on my phone, I don't receive vocal notifications on any texts so I just check in on my phone every now and then. : )

You are a blessing to me! I appreciate you!
Love, ~Amelia

Don't know how I missed this post!

"There is a quiet strength and power in a godly life..."

Powerful words. Matches the painting of Joan of Arc just below it- a woman with armor and a sword!
